LUKE ELLISON

BORN 30.10.1995, DUBBO NSW AUSTRALIA

It didn’t take long for Luke to discover his passion for BMX Racing, his spirit and drive emerging at the young age of four when competing his first race. Seeing opportunity Luke pursued this calling through Road and Track cycling, Cross-Country, Downhill events and of course BMX at a club, state, national and international level. Competing on behalf of Australia in the junior downhill team in the World Championship in 2012 & 2013, Luke has demonstrated his competitive ambitions which continue through to this day. Most recently, Luke placed 2nd at the 2016 Australian Open MTB Cannonball cementing his status as one of the most exciting up-and-coming riders on Australian shores.

Selected: 2012 and 2013 Australian Junior Downhill Team.
Competed: 2012 and 2013 UCI MTB World Championships.
2nd overall: 2013 Australian National Series.

With the 2019 Season around the corner, Luke aims to represent Australia once again in the World Championship. Additionally, to place consistently in the top 5 throughout the Australian National Series & Championships, accumulating enough points to compete in the World Cup. When not practicing and improving his performance, you’ll find Luke participating at local gate and club night racings, travelling across the NSW state to ensure he is fit for competition.
