hutchinson griffus series
This grippy mountain bike tyre from Hutchinson features the company's latest Race Ripost Gravity compound, giving it outstanding durability for tackling the pressures of enduro riding. The tread features symmetrical central and side knobs, designed to give you a consistent, grippy performance to make gaining speed and maintain stability all the easier as you ride.
what are we looking at.
Born from the Racing Lab, a collaboration of elite athletes and engineers, the Griffus 2.4 is the ultimate rear tire for ripping big lines. Staggered, offset knobs provide a continuous contact patch for consistent, reliable traction while pedaling or braking, with a low lug height to reduce squirm. The RR Gravity rubber compound features firm structural support overlaid by a softer side density at the surface for cornering traction, with more deformation and slower rebound to help soak up big landings and hard hits. Pair with the Griffus 2.5 front for the perfect enduro combo.
Versatile profile
Reduced height knobs compared to the 2.50 profile for high performance
Central knobs are orientated for faster rolling performance
A tri-compound Race Ripost Gravity construction that precisely controls tread deformation and increases grip
A 66 TPI Hardskin casing will give you the ability to handle the most difficult terrain
Hutchison's objective was to develop a gravity tire with the fastest rolling performance and the best lateral grip for every type of conditions.
Dust, rocks, roots ; nothing can resist the Griffus. Thus the brand offers a complete gravity range with the Griffus going alongside the mythic TOROs, and the DZO tires for mud conditions.

I’m really rigorous about tires, i need feel confident and be sure not to suffer punctures, without being too heavy, with fast rolling performance, while keeping a significant grip. With the Griffus, i have the perfect compromise between grip and performance. I will use it on 80% of the races, the DZO will take over when the mud will be part of the game. When I’m searching for precision in my rides, I’m used to mount Griffus 2.4 both front and rear.
